This design & build project involved a full refurbishment and top-floor extension of a 4-bedroom apartment in the heart of Chelsea. The work included the complete reconstruction of the existing roof to create a rear mansard, raising the gable walls, and extending the third-floor accommodation. All timber windows on the third floor were replaced with new double-glazed units.
The internal renovation was complemented by a fresh interior design scheme, while thermal efficiency was upgraded to meet modern standards, ensuring a comfortable and sustainable living environment.
As a design & build project, this required close collaboration with the client throughout the process, addressing complex challenges such as negotiating with neighbours and overcoming site constraints. The scope of work included securing necessary licenses and party wall agreements, demolishing the top floor, and rebuilding the roof and roof terrace extension. Every detail, from bespoke joinery to project progression, was meticulously managed from pre-construction through to completion
