For this project, we were engaged to carry out a soft refurbishment of a newly built three-bedroom flat within a Grade II listed building, originally designed by John Belcher and John James Joass. The Foster + Partners scheme restores and builds on the logic and intent of Belcher and Joass’design, creating a diverse retail, leisure and residential experience. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work within this historic building and be part of its regeneration, contributing to the creation of a vibrant new neighbourhood.
Working closely with the interior designer, who developed the concept and design changes, we helped transform the space to better reflect the client’s vision. The original grey and white marble in the kitchen and bathrooms was replaced with warmer materials, creating a more inviting and comfortable atmosphere throughout. We also combined two bedrooms to create a spacious master suite, complete with a large walk-in wardrobe. Our team installed bespoke joinery to maximize storage and elevate the luxury of the space. We updated the lighting plan as well, installing carefully selected pendants and wall lights to complement the new finishes and enhance the overall ambiance of the home, all while respecting the unique character of this Grade II listed structure
