This 26-unit 8 storey building is located in the dynamic Józsefváros district of Budapest. The area boasts a bustling social scene and was the setting of the Corvin-Szigony Project, the biggest urban renewal project in Central-Europe. The site is only a few minutes’ walk away from The metro (M3) and tram (4-6) line, the Budapest Medical University, the Ludovika Campus and the botanical gardens.
Prater Utca was designed to include French windows, spaciously dimensioned balconies and terraces to ensure outdoor space and maximise the amount of natural light in its dwellings, reviving almost forgotten qualities in housing. The design aims to balance the client’s wish for a qualitative and large and amount of square meters with the envisioned character of urban life in a newly developed neighborhood.
